
2023 Sunfest Fun Pickleball Tournament
Selkirk College, Frank Beinder Way, Castlegar, BC
This is a fun tournament (unsanctioned) - Round Robin format - Saturday June 3, 2023 @ 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You will play many games with different partners. What a great way to meet new players and practice your game!
All pickleball players over the age of 14 are welcome. You should know the pickleball rules and have previously played. When registration is complete, players may be placed in groups based on their skill level. There will be a maximum of 28 players in total. Each player in a group will play at least 6 matches. Please bring your own pickleball paddles and wear appropriate shoes so as not to mark up the gym floor.
$15.00/person - includes a pizza lunch. Payment is due at time of registration. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the round robin based on the numbers of matches won. Door prizes will also be drawn at random.
There will be a maximum of 28 players and entries are accepted on a first come basis, so the event may fill up quickly. A waiting list will be created once our limit of 28 players is reached.
Final registration deadline is Thursday May 18th at 4 PM.
Players must sign up and pay before the registration deadline. Selkirk College (the College) has created an online registration form at https://forms.selkirk.ca/view.php?id=335475 To register and pay, please call Selkirk College at 250-365-1292. The College can take payment over the phone, with a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and players will need to pay in order to complete the registration form above. Please note that the registration form is also limited to the first 28 people who sign up. Cancellation policy - The tournament is being held indoors at the College's gym, so there is no concern for cancellation due to bad weather. Therefore, there will be no refunds of entry fees received by the College.
Check-in runs from 10:00- 10:45 AM the day of the tournament (Saturday June 3). The College’s waiver can be signed by participants during check-in. Matches begin at 11:00 AM.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch their favorite players.
